Implementing the Common Core
CEI-PEA staff and partner organizations have developed a series of tools and resources to help schools implement the Common Core in their curriculum. Check out the following:
- Common Core Select Resources – The New York State P-12 Common Core Learning Standards and accompanying resources are provided as full documents and as excerpts per grade level. Links to the New York City Department of Education, the Ohio State Department of Education, and the Common Core Curriculum Mapping Project provide additional samples of instructional units and student work.
- Common Core Implementation in Independent Charter Schools – Bloggers provide insights and tips on how to implement the Common Core effectively in independent charter schools. While the blog is focused on the needs of independent (“mom and pop”) charter schools, the blog entries pertain for any public school working to implement the Common Core.
